Why the Best Laser Printer All in One is Necessary?

In today’s fast-paced and digital world, having a reliable and efficient printer is essential for both personal and professional use. When it comes to printers, the best laser printer all in one stands out as a must-have device. With its numerous features and capabilities, this versatile machine offers several advantages that make it necessary for various individuals and businesses.

High Printing Speeds

One of the primary reasons why the best laser printer all in one is necessary is its exceptional printing speeds. Unlike inkjet printers, which rely on liquid ink that needs time to dry, laser printers utilize a toner powder that dries instantly. This allows laser printers to produce prints at a much faster rate, making them ideal for busy office environments or individuals who require quick and efficient printing.

Superior Print Quality

Another crucial aspect of the best laser printer all in one is its ability to deliver superior print quality. Laser technology ensures sharp and precise prints with high resolution, resulting in clear texts and vibrant images. Whether you need to print important documents or impressive marketing materials, a laser printer can consistently produce professional-looking outputs.

Cost Efficiency

While laser printers typically have a higher upfront cost compared to inkjet printers, they offer significant cost savings in the long run. Laser toner cartridges have a much higher page yield compared to inkjet cartridges, which means they need to be replaced less frequently. Additionally, laser printers are known for their durability and reliability, reducing maintenance costs and minimizing downtime.

Multifunctionality

The "all in one" feature of the best laser printer further enhances its necessity. These printers are not limited to printing alone; they also serve as scanners, copiers, and sometimes even fax machines. By investing in an all-in-one printer, you eliminate the need for multiple devices cluttering your workspace while streamlining your tasks into one convenient machine.

Time-Saving Features

Best laser printers all in one often come with advanced features that save time and effort. Automatic document feeders (ADFs) enable quick scanning or copying of multiple-page documents without the need for manual page flipping. Duplex printing allows you to print on both sides of a paper automatically, reducing paper usage and saving time.

Network Connectivity

In an increasingly connected world, network connectivity is vital for seamless collaboration and productivity. The best laser printer all in one usually offers various connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or USB, allowing multiple users to easily share the printer across different devices and locations. This feature is particularly valuable in office settings where several employees need access to a shared printing resource.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the best laser printer all in one is necessary due to its high printing speeds, superior print quality, cost efficiency, multifunctionality, time-saving features, and network connectivity capabilities. Whether you’re a small business owner, a student, or someone who values efficient home printing solutions, investing in a laser printer will undoubtedly enhance your productivity and convenience. So why settle for anything less when you can have it all with the best laser printer all in one?

Most Helpful Review: “For the last month I’ve been researching and debating which AIO color laser printer to get after being completely fed up with inkjets and all of the cartridge issues that come along with them, especially Epson.
There are a lot of mixed reviews out there for this MF644Cdw, but I took a chance on it based on even worse reviews for other comparable brands, like HP and Brother.
I’m glad I did. I feel compelled to write a review based on my surprisingly good experience so far.
First is the initial setup. A lot of reviewers reported a horrible setup experience. This was not the case for me.
Unbox it, untape it, turn it on, connect to your wifi using the LCD panel, and load the drivers on your PC (download the latest from Canon’s website). That’s it. I have only tested on Windows at home so can’t speak for MAC drivers.
I also haven’t experienced any issues with the touch panel functionality. Some people say they have to push unreasonably hard on the LCD screen to get actions to register.
This is not my experience and mine accepts inputs just fine like any other office printer I’ve ever used.
Prints came out perfect right out of the box starting with the first test page, although I did go through the full gradation calibration anyway just to be thorough.
Seeing how I don’t plan on using this for full photo prints I left most of the print settings at their defaults, but you can bump up the quality higher than the default dpi if you desire. Copies were accurate and scans were more than sufficient.
I was most concerned with the scan quality based on some online reviews, but I found that the scans on the glass plate turn out to be more than acceptable even at the standard 300dpi.
You can easily modify this to go up to 600dpi which produced great results. I’ll note that I have not yet attempted to scan using the ADF function.
There are additional scan quality settings in the settings menu as well as copy settings, so experiment with them to see which suits your needs.
For copy, I set mine to the “Text/Photo/Map (Quality)” setting which proved to be sufficient, but there is a “Printed Image” option which provides even more detail.
There are a ton of settings on this thing, and I’m still testing all of them out one function at a time. The MF Scan utility allows for customizing scan quality settings, file types, destinations, etc.
But it does lack any truly helpful post-processing or cropping. Some users have reported that the NAPS2 utility addresses these post-processing shortcomings if that is an issue for you. I have not yet tested it but plan on doing so soon.
The only hiccup I’ve encountered so far was when I tried to use the MF Scan Utility to pull a scan from the printer to a PC. The utility wouldn’t connect to the printer no matter what, even though the printer was online and I could print to it just fine.
No number of uninstalls/reinstalls of the scan driver or utility made a difference. Rebooting the printer did not help either.
Surprisingly, I found that a simple reboot of the affected PC fixed it (an increasingly rare occurrence these days) and now everything is working. Finally, scan to email works great and is not too bad to set up at all using the Remote UI.
You definitely want to set up the Remote UI pin during initial setup in order to fine tune this thing. It will help immensely when customizing and enabling features.
Also, download and read the manual! I was able to configure everything over the course of about two hours including getting the Android Canon print app to print from my phones.
I’ve been using this thing for only one day so far but have really put it through it’s paces. Sleep mode works well with adjustable timers. Wake from sleep works perfectly for me (using DHCP reservation for the printer wifi address).
Wifi signal is good and stable at about 40 ft away from router through multiple walls and obstructions. Double sided print works great. The only features I haven’t tested yet are ADF scans, fax, and print from USB drive.
The bottom line is that I was a bit skeptical when pulling the trigger on this one after reading hundreds of reviews from multiple sites. I ended up narrowing it down to either this or the Brother 3770.
The brother has much better scanner specs and reviews, whereas a lot of reviews of the Canon mention functionality issues or disappointing scanner quality. On the other hand, the Canon seemed to win when it came to color accuracy and overall print quality.
Reviewers also had some pretty bad things to say about the Brother toners and drum. It turns out my primary concern with the Canon MF644 scanner was unfounded and it performs better than expected.
If you are looking to archive old photos for enlargement and print then you are better off getting a dedicated standalone scanner anyway. But for everyday documents or photos that you don’t plan on enlarging this performs very well.
I’ll try to update this review as time goes by if I end up running into any issues or if there are any surprises when it comes to toner usage and replacement.
Until then, I have to give this 5 stars based so far and will be recommending to friends and family. ” – Mkinpa

Most Helpful Review: This is the second Brother Printer of its Ilk since 2017 in a moderately small office stetting. I am very impressed with both, but, also, with this one’s upgrades..
Everything in life seems to learning curve, these days, but this wasn’t too bad. I hope it holds up as well as the last one (this one was installed January of 2023) and yes, bought thru Amazon.
We use is as a stand-alone so not all the features are likely taken advantage of, but it does as it is asked.
The one glitch is the toner (on regular setting) is very light compared to the old one and I have to change the contrast setting each time I want to copy something.
I find that annoying, and hoe that when the real toner cartridge (XL) is installed it wont be like that, Especially since I have not figured out, yet, how to set it where it is most suitable.
HOWEVER, I want to point out to the person above who was a little upset about the “low toner” notification coming on, at 300 copies if it is anything like the old printer .
Previous seminal HP model it takes a VERY long time for the toner to actually run out and that is not an anomaly – because we also have a Brother fax which took a similar model toner cartridge as the last printer did (4/6).
The fax is also the second one since 2017, but for a very different reason, and it behaves very similarly, re the toner notification: lots of of it before the toner runs out.
On this printer, I am sure we have used more than 700 pages (the cartridge that comes with it says it will print about that many) and so, even with adjusting the contract UP we are STILL on the original cartridge.
What do you bet when, when I go in on Monday I will get the notification LOL but still, I will expect to have quite a while before I actually have to change it.)
In fairness I am lucky to have someone set these thing up for me, as I am already wearing too many hats to manage it time wise, and the weight of them is a bit more than I (at age 70) can handle, so any difficulties are not known to me.
I DO plan to purchase one of these to set up with my home office/Mac aspect as like many I am worn out with all the ink I waste, never mind having to get up and put more paper in (Hp version only holds about 60 sheets LOL) coz I don’t really care about color anymore.
Bottom line GREAT Printer my light ink is likely an anomaly but DO read the differences in the very similar-looking but vastly different prices ($199.00 for this one up to $399 for one that looks almost the same and has a few different features but some which appear to be less useful.
This one’s little screen is worth the trade off for being able to scan duplex if that’s what’s important to you. ” – Safire wolf

Most Helpful Review: “The Steps below work for anyone using a Windows 10 or Windows 11 Laptop. I do not have a Mac so unfortunately I cannot help you there. If the steps below don’t work for you, then you will need to reach out to HP Support.
Okay so right off the bat you shold know this. DO NOT bother trying to connect the printer directly to your modem/router via WiFi – You will get frustrated. Easy Solution below.
1. I HIGHLY recommend you download the “HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw Printer Full Software Solution” driver (roughly 200 MB) directly from HP.
If you google “HP M182nw drivers”, it will find the site for you. DO NOT install the HP Smart App version. Scroll down past that to see the actual driver download I named above.
2. If your printer is going to sit next to your modem/router – connected it directly via a ethernet cable NOT INCLUDED.
If it’s not, then just set it up wherever you plan on having it. Use the supplied USB cable to connect the printer to your laptop and run the initial setup via the downloaded driver.
3. If at any point you are presented with a choice to use a ‘recommended” setup or a manual one – choose the recommended one unless you are an IT specialist.
Once the initial driver setup/install completes and the printer is added to your laptop, the instaler will say it detects the printer connected via USB, then ask if you want it to stay that way or connect via your WiFi network.
Select the Wireless or WiFi network option, choose the recommended option and not the manual setup. The installer will scan and detect the network you are connected to and ask you to verify. Once verified it will run an wireless setup.
There is a possibility the process will stop and ask you to reboot your home modem/router and do it again 9that’s what happened with me, otherwise the setup completes.
4. Once the wireless setup is done, disconnect the USB cable from your laptop and try to print. The printer should already show up as a wireless printer. If not, just go into your Settings:
Windows 10: Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners > Add a Printer or Scanner. As it starts scanning, The M182 will show up. Click on it and add. That should add the printer as a wireless printer.
Windows 11: Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners. Next click Add Device. As it starts scanning, The M182 will show up. Click on it and add. That should add the printer as a wireless printer.
5. Once done, try to print.
6. Adding the printer to iPhones/iPads: You WILL NEED TO GO THROUGH STEPS 1-4 Before You can add the printer to iPhones/iPads. Once that is done, the rest is easy.
On the iPhone/iPad pick something to test print (an email is the best thing), select the print option and then select the M182 from the list of available printers – That’s it. Going forward the printer will be the default.
7. Adding the printer to your Android device. Depending on your device brand (LG, Samsung, Google etc) You should go through the normal process on your device to add the printer.
There is a chance that older Android devices will either not detect the printer or won’t be able to connect after it has detected the printer. For example.
My old Samsung Galaxy S20 can detect the printer but is unable to connect to it regardless of whether I use WiFi Direct or the IP address however my work mobile device which is a newer model connects fine. ” – Thomas

Most Helpful Review: “Reading the reviews, I was nervous and felt like this purchase was a gamble… a gamble that paid off though!
It was easy to install for me! I hooked it up to wifi via its screen, then printed from my phone. No calibrating or anything at this point.
I printed some pictures, and though they don’t quite look like pro-level prints, they’re pretty great for plain paper prints done in 10 seconds!
Someone asked what the long, flat rectangle “extra” piece was for – the paper drawer has a blue button on the inside to extend for legal paper.
The rectangle piece clips into the top of the extended paper drawer, acting as a paper protector as well as a ledge to feed photo paper/envelopes into the photo/envelope feeder. See photos.
I highly recommend this printer! I plan to use this largely for printing online sales shipping stuff – labels, small photos of the confirmed purchase, etc.
This will fit my needs perfectly, and is a huge upgrade in speed and efficiency when compared to my old inkjet. I did get this half off on Prime day, which may influence my opinion on value though.
I probably would have been marginally content (not a bad place to be, but not as excited as I am) if I’d paid full price.” – Jackson

Most Helpful Review: This printer is amazing. Worth every penny. Probably the last workhorse office printer (non photo inkjet) I’ll ever buy, assuming it doesn’t breakdown soon or a lighter one doesn’t comes out.
It’s heavy. 50lbs? It was definitely not a straightforward experience setting up the advanced features up but the basic stuff was pretty easy out the box with the wizard.
The power user features take some tech saavy and patience. For example this thing can make scans and copies that are directly sent to your email address. This procedure takes configuring of SMTP settings and changing Port numbers.
If this is Greek to you then you should definitely learn or google how to. The manual will not tell you how. Because when you get it these advanced features will turn this printer into a professional beast that is basically capable of what the things the big brother Canon Fiery’s can do.
I will not write an installation walk through here but want to mention some important notes that I learned that may not be apparent to those that buy this.
First I feel it’s worth mentioning that this unit was brand new, not used, from Amazon. I say this because judging from a lot of the reviews people have had problems setting this up.
There are some updates to the firmware, driver installation and admin settings that make this printer work properly. Take your time. Research. Getting this right makes the difference of being frustrated and super happy.
If your up for the task of trial and error, and tinkering it out, it will be worth it. I have a theory people are returning products where settings were previously made to the unit.
There is a possibility that they are returning it with those software settings still made to the unit that the non physical inspection will miss this before it gets put back on the shelf for resale…but this is just IMO.
Toner is crazy expensive.I was running a MacBook Pro so I will not speak to the experience of a PC user.
This unit DOES NOT COME WITH A USB cable to link directly to a computer, you probably won’t need it but I suggest you have one handy as it may help with setup if you run into issues before it starts to work wirelessly.
That is not clear when receiving the unit. The manual shows the cable as included in the diagram but mentions later in the setup instructions that it is indeed not included which is a problem if you plan on having it permanently connected to a workstation.
Also using a dedicated LAN connection vs Wi-Fi is something to plan ahead before setup.
Notable Key features I love: Seamless Mobile Printing ( no proprietary app), Duplex Scanning, Copying, Print/Scan Direct to Email address, Thumbdrive or Computer. Address book sync. AirPrint that actually works.
Important
Before turning on unit to begin don’t link to computer via cable. Be sure to install on your computer all the drivers and queue software needed for your machine.
Make sure your computer is sharing same internet as what you plan for the printer. Restart YOUR COMPUTER after installing.
Turn on Printer for the first time and go through the initial setup wizard walk through carefully. Take your time. Be sure to setup that security PIN. You’ll need it for the advanced setup.
Also important. A lot of the advanced settings, are accessed much in the way you setup a router. 192.168.1.??? There is an admin config accessible via the network address on your browser once you have the network up and running.
I find this better than using the touch screen. This is where all the features can be customized after basic setup. And just like a router these updates you make in this admin area will not take affect until you do a hard Reset.
When you make a change to the setting always turn the printer off and on. Can’t stress this enough.
If you’re like me, much of the use of this printer goes beyond just sending files to the unit to be printed to paper, but also the reverse. Into the realm of facilitating digitization and file sharing/management.good luck. Hope this helps. ” – Mike

Most Helpful Review: “I’m a regular household user (ok, also a teacher, but not the kind who prints All The Things) but had an old Officejet because of a crazy black Friday deal back when black Friday deals were crazy.
It died of old age and I thought I’d downgrade because budget. But I just couldn’t go back to regular printers.
I returned two out of frustration before deciding to just pay a little more and go back to Officejet, it’s only been a couple of weeks but so far I don’t think I’ll have any regrets.
Pros
1.Seems to be on sale often so it’s not terribly more expensive than lower end printers.
2.The print quality is very good. I’m getting a drop of those light horizontal lines, but just a bit, and I bet they could be ironed out if I had time to sit around with settings or something.
But overall I’m much happier than I was with the other printers I tried, text is sharper and colors are more true.
3.Paper tray is closed. I hate that all the new expensive printers these days have the paper sticking up from the back open to the elements.
I can only assume their paper feeders get gummed up with dust pretty fast, and the papers themselves can’t be too happy. The paper tray on this printer is great.
4.It’s not noisy, relative to others.
5.HP Smart app is great, easy to use, has a nice set of functions.
6. Had no issues with setup.
7. So far seems to be picking up jobs just fine from my phone and laptop.
Cons
1.I really don’t like the boxy design. I’m putting function over form but I really don’t like it. And the front panel seems a bit flimsy,
2.It’s not the most important piece but my old Officejet didn’t have a front panel that opened and I don’t really see the point of this one as you need to lift the top to get inside anyway.
3.would love to have a paper bypass tray. Like if you want to print one envelope, it would be great to have a place to just feed that in rather than remove your whole paper stack, change the size in the tray, print your envelope, and then put all the paper back.
like I said before, I’m getting a drop of banding (is that what it’s called? Tiny horizontal gaps?) When printing chunks of color.
4.I’m not sure if this is fixable and the print quality is still the best I’ve seen in this price range, but it’s a flaw.
5.The touch screen could be a little more responsive
6.That’s Really it so far. I had a lot more complaints with every other printer I tried.
Neutral
Let’s talk about instant ink. Many reviews had issues with this. They seem to not understand how the program works. It’s not that complicated. No, you don’t get six months worth of ink in the box with the printer.
They will send the ink to your home as needed over six months if you sign up and give them your address.
I haven’t gotten to the end of the trial yet so I don’t know if they actually brick your printer if you try to use generic ink, but they were very explicit about you agreeing not to do that when signing up.
I have no issue with this because I did some math and I believe the instant ink actually is a better deal than even generic ink is. My old printer accepted generics (after an initial period of reluctance) and it wasn’t all that exciting.
And with subscription ink I won’t need to worry about waste when the printer decides to clean the printheads (my old one did that a lot
I do think it feels scammy for them to make you commit at the outset to never use other ink for the life of the printer (what?!) But at the same time I’m comfortable with what they’re offering.
I’ll be annoyed if they raise the prices though, and I think if they’re making you commit upon purchase then they in turn should commit to grandfathering you into the ink prices as of the time of the commitment.
Several times I’ve sent a print job from my phone, got an error message on my phone, while the job printed just fine.
So it’s good that the job printed fine, but it’s weird and annoying that my phone thinks it didn’t, and now I have an error notification sitting there, and if I’m not near the printer I don’t know whether or not it actually printed or if I need to retry.
I’ll have to figure out how to make that stop. Maybe I’ll need to uninstall and reinstall the phone app or something. Overall a very minor hiccup compared to the issues I had with other printers. ” – Steve

Most Helpful Review: “Had to replace a very old (ten year?) Epson Workforce printer. Pulled my hair out juggling all the obscured specs of all the brands, Brother, HP, Canon.
Read carefully: some of them will duplex print, but not duplex scan some of them will duplex scan but not with a Mac; some of them will do all.
That but they are made to print 13 inch wide paper and if you just need a simple multifunction office unit for 8-1/2 X 11 inch paper you’re getting a LARGE footprint and spending a lot of money you don’t have to.I had to create a spreadsheet to parse it all.
This one (WF-4830) does everything the other one did but faster and better. Wireless, copies, scans, prints, scans duplex, prints duplex, color and B&W.
Doesn’t benefit from large ink tanks so that’s still criminally expensive, but for my home office it’s fine. ” – Anne

Buying Guide: How to Choose the Best Laser Printer All-in-One

When it comes to finding the best laser printer all-in-one for your needs, there are several factors to consider. With a wide range of options available in the market, it can be overwhelming to make the right choice. To help you with your decision-making process, we have compiled a buying guide that outlines important features and considerations.

1. Printing Speed and Volume

One of the key factors to consider when choosing a laser printer all-in-one is its printing speed and volume capabilities. The printing speed is measured in pages per minute (PPM) and determines how quickly the printer can produce documents. If you have high-volume printing needs, opting for a printer with a higher PPM will save you time.

2. Print Quality

Print quality is another crucial aspect to consider, especially if you need professional-grade prints or plan on using the printer for tasks such as graphic design or photography. Look for printers that offer high-resolution printing options and produce sharp and vibrant images.

3. Connectivity Options

Consider the connectivity options offered by the laser printer all-in-one. Most modern printers come with USB connections, but it’s also worth checking if they support wireless connectivity (such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth). Wireless connectivity allows you to print from multiple devices without needing physical connections.

4. Paper Handling Capacity

Evaluate the paper handling capacity of the printer before making a purchase decision. Take into account both input and output trays’ capacities, as well as whether the printer supports automatic duplex printing (printing on both sides of the page). A higher paper handling capacity will ensure smoother workflow and less frequent refilling.

5. Multifunction Features

All-in-one laser printers often come with additional functionalities beyond just printing capabilities. Consider whether you require features like scanning, copying, or faxing when selecting your printer. These multifunction features can be highly convenient and save you the trouble of investing in separate devices.

6. Cost of Consumables

Take into account the cost of consumables, such as toner cartridges, when comparing different laser printers. Some printers may have a lower upfront cost but higher running costs due to expensive replacement cartridges. Consider the average cost per page and opt for a printer with affordable consumables in the long run.

7. User-Friendliness

Consider the ease of use and user-friendly features offered by the printer. Look for models with intuitive control panels, clear display screens, and easy navigation menus. Additionally, check if the printer comes with software that enhances usability or enables mobile printing.

By considering these factors and evaluating your specific needs, you can make an informed decision when choosing the best laser printer all-in-one that fits your requirements without compromising on quality or functionality.

Remember to read reviews, compare prices, and also consider warranty terms before finalizing your purchase. Happy printing!
