CV for fresh graduates: beat the template pile

Career · BD Job Result · 2026

A fresher's CV in Bangladesh competes with hundreds of near-identical documents: same degrees, same templates, same "hardworking and sincere" lines. Recruiters spend seconds per CV. This guide shows how to make those seconds count — with zero work experience.

What recruiters actually scan

The first screen checks three things: degree relevance, any proof of skill, and whether the document is readable in ten seconds. Everything else is decoration. Structure your CV so these three answers appear in the top half of the first page.

Replace clichés with evidence

  • Instead of "good communication skills" — "presented thesis defense to a 40-person panel".
  • Instead of "computer literate" — "Excel: pivot tables and dashboards (course completed)".
  • Instead of "team player" — "organized departmental debate tournament with 12 teams".

Final checks before sending

One page is enough for a fresher. PDF format, professional file name (FirstName_LastName_CV.pdf), no photo unless the circular asks for one. Read it aloud once — if a sentence sounds like a template, rewrite it. And tailor the objective line to each employer; the generic one is visible from a mile away.
